Wow, that was the worst exit from the World Cup I've seen England make since I started paying attention in about 1998. I mean, wow. Were they always this crap? And of course there was *cheating* and *robbery* involved, in the form of a goal that was disqualified even though it really was a goal, so we're going to hear about that for about the next forty years or so.

I've got to say, I wasn't really disgusted until I read this excerpt from an article in the Guardian on how the German media were taking it.

The paper described the "dumb struck" mood in England's pubs as fans tried to digest the defeat, and described how "While Schweinsteiger was kissing his girlfriend, the English were left to cry", accompanied by the invitation on its website to "click here for pictures of how beautifully England cries", which showed a range of weeping fans.

Oh for God's sake... OK, I never thought I'd say this, but GO MARADONA GO!!!!
